Bring Sharks to School? What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Johnny Cash used to sing "don't bring your guns to town." The Newport Aquarium in Kentucky isn't listening. They're bringing some of their sharks out into the community to teach children about the one of the most mysterious of fishes.

“This program is a once in a lifetime experience for many students who lack the funds and means to visit the Aquarium.” Scott Wingate, executive director of the Aquarium's WAVE Foundation told the North Kentucky Tribune.

Teachers choose a program that fits with their schedule and the WAVE foundation brings the fish. The students do the touching and learning. The Aquarium hopes to visit more than 120 schools in 2016 alone.
